Some of you no doubt missed the message about our upcoming show cause it was sent right in the middle of Sandy - we also wanted to tell you about a special offer for this show - a SONG AUCTION.
Got a song you love? That you wanna hear the HSO play? That you wanna hear Brent, Jim, Margot or Merrily sing?
First, tell us the song. We'll make a list of all the songs for which we feel we can make a great arrangement - which will be almost anything!
Then, we'll have an online auction, and the highest bidders will get the HSO singer of their choice to sing their song at the show!* The bidding will start at $40.
To review: We will be back at wonderful Cave at St. Georges on December 6th. This will be the full band and singers, and we will be playing a bunch of new arrangements.
So put it in your books NOW! it's gonna be a dynamite show.
The Harlem Speakeasy Orchestra (HSO) is a 12 piece band made up of some of the finest musicians and vocalists in New York City. They play a wide variety of classic popular music from the Big Band Era and beyond. But make no mistake - this is not an oldies band. Their startlingly fresh approach to great songs of all eras will keep you on your toes and on your feet! So if you love classic songs from the HIP decades, come groove your soul to the incredible sounds of Ray Charles, Louis Jordan, Frank Sinatra, June Christy, Nat King Cole, and some surprise new tunes that will blow your mind.

Due to the unpredictability of the music business, we reserve the right to make personnel changes at any time. If you win the song auction and your chosen singer can't be at this show, we will have a suitable replacement singer, and in any case the arrangements will be in the book for all future shows.
